Adina Lohmüller | Artist Biography
Adina Lohmüller is a Romanian painter whose work exists at the intersection of nostalgia, symbolism, and emotion. Born in Brașov in 1980, she now lives and works in Montbard, France, dedicating herself to oil painting in its purest form. Though self-taught, she has refined a deeply personal artistic language—one that conveys the fleeting beauty of childhood, the weight of history, and the quiet spirituality of everyday life.
Her paintings are rooted in surrealism and symbolism, often portraying figures lost in thought, moments of the past, bound by unseen constraints, or longing for something just out of reach. She explores themes of love, memory, and innocence, capturing the essence of past eras with a profound sense of longing. Vintage scenes, old streets, and forgotten moments come alive in her compositions, infused with a melancholic beauty.
