The Collection of Gyuri Lohmuller.
Gyuri Lohmüller
Born in 1962 in Gătaia, Romania, Gyuri Lohmüller is a self-taught surrealist painter who has dedicated over 35 years to his craft. His journey began after the Romanian Revolution, when he lost his job and decided to pursue painting full-time, drawing from his early talent in graphic arts. His work, deeply shaped by personal hardships and life’s challenges, invites viewers to find their own reflections within it. Known for creating imaginative, emotionally rich oil paintings, Gyuri draws influence from Hieronymus Bosch and modern surrealists.
His art has been exhibited across Europe, including France, Austria, and Hungary, and continues to resonate for its honesty, complexity, and hidden meanings. Gyuri lives and paints alongside his wife, Adina Lohmüller, a fellow artist and exclusive member of the Elysian Art Collection.
