Nicaragua Playground
This park is located in Niquinohomo department of Masaya. This park will be used by 85 families and approximately 180 children. There were no other playgrounds anywhere near by for them.
As part of their early efforts to bring joy and dignity to underserved communities, IAP funded and constructed several hand-built playgrounds in rural areas with limited resources. These were not prefabricated installations—each playground was fully fabricated from the ground up, with concrete bases, custom-built games, hardscaping, and full landscaping.
The projects were led by trusted collaborators and built by local workers, creating jobs while providing safe, imaginative spaces for children. In some cases, the decision to build these playgrounds took priority over other planned infrastructure projects, simply because the opportunity to secure land made it possible.
These playgrounds represent IAP’s mission in its purest form: using creativity, opportunity, and community effort to deliver hope and happiness where it’s needed most.
