Water Project #4
This project took place in La Poma, a rural community where 74 homes—approximately 115 families and 625 people—previously had no running water. Residents had to walk, often with donkeys, carrying buckets and barrels just to get water to their homes.
Now, thanks to our efforts, that’s no longer the case.
We installed a 22,000-liter water tank, built a purification system, laid a concrete base, and ran pipework throughout the community—all by hand, with the help of nearly 200 local workers who dug the trenches themselves. The result: every home in La Poma now has access to clean, running water.
This is our fourth completed project, and with it, we’ve brought this essential resource to nearly 300 homes and over 1,500 people across Nicaragua.
We also built a playground for the children—a space of joy and imagination in a place that’s too often been defined by hardship.
Huge gratitude to our incredible team on the ground, to Jonatan Eli Espinoza Perez for his continued dedication as both artist and humanitarian, and to our people at Premium and Exotic Wholesale—who keep the trucks moving and help us fund and power projects like this.
